Date of first appearance of coronal hole in EUV at east limb: 2025-11-18
Note: Characterized by an increase in solar wind speeds from approx. 450 km/s at 2025-11-24T07:23Z to approx. 700km/s at 2025-11-24T11:46Z. An increase in temperature (approx. 0.2MK to approx. 1MK) and a decrease in density (approx. 8 p/cc to approx. 2p/cc) was also observed at this time. Prior to the increase in speeds, a corotating interaction region was observed in the magnetic field components with fluctuations ranging between approx. +/- 13nT with B_t reaching a peak of 15.41nT. The candidate coronal hole associated with this signature is centered near N05 with a width of approx. 25 degrees and crossed central meridian on 2025-11-22.
